An ambulance driver, a broker, a hospital worker and a surgeon were abducted in the early hours of the morning, according to Dr Maran, a doctor in Chennai who was known to treat everyone for only ₹ 5. Maran was arrested and interrogated by Inspector Ratnavel "Randy", who is in charge of the case.
Maran explained his motive for the abduction; All four are responsible for the death of an auto driver's daughter and the subsequent suicide of his wife due to greed for money and negligence in providing proper healthcare. He informs Randy of the whereabouts of his hostages but claims that he has already killed them simultaneously.
Maran reveals that he is not Maran but his Doppelganger Vetri, a magician. Vetri is also responsible for the death of Dr Arjun Zakaria, a corrupt doctor, who was killed during a stage performance in Paris two years ago. Dr. Daniel Orokiaraj, another corrupt doctor and head of the state's medical council, sees Maran's cheap healthcare as a threat to his developing hospital business and decides to kill Maran using his thugs but is eventually saved by the vet ...
